About Us

Mullum Creek Native Nursery has been operating since 1996. The property has been extensively planted over the last 25 years with over 5000 natives planted. The seed was collected locally and now some of these plants have fruited and have been propagated and grown. We collect wild local seed throughout the local area.

Tubestock and Advanced Plants.

After many years of planting 1000’s of plants and supplying tens of thousands of plants since 1996 our hardy tubestock have outperformed all other pot sizes. The pots that we use have internal ribs to prevent root spiraling and the way we pot them and harden our babies in the sun, promote quick establishment once planted.

But, and it’s a big but, there is a place for semi-advanced plants such as 140mm, 200mm and 300mm pots. The secret is in how they are planted. If planted properly and given the appropriate aftercare advanced plants are fine, especially Lilly Pillies.

The retail nursery has amazing views up to Mt Jerusalem National Park and Boogarem Falls, the head water of Mullumbimby Creek. The nursery was built using permaculture environmental principles. The water run off recycling system, reed beds, water flow form and floating wetlands make this one of the best environmental nurseries on the NSW North Coast.

What started of as a small nursery back in 1996 has now grown and supplied over one million plants since then. We now supply to landholders, farmers, landscapers, bush regenerators and passionate gardeners from tubestock to advanced plants.
